About Us

Troop 94

Scouts BSA Troop 94 of Toney, Alabama is an active, adventurous Troop that emphasizes leadership, advancement, and scouting skills. Chartered by the Rotary Club of Huntsville, we are in the Talakto District of the Greater Alabama Council.

We have about 30 Scouts who range in age from 11 to 17 years, and we have a very active Committee of adult leaders to support our many activities.

The Rotary Club of Huntsville also charters Troop 95 – an all-female troop, Crew 94 – high adventure for girls and boys aged 14-21, and Pack 94 – Cub Scouting adventures for girls and boys in kindergarten through 5th grades.

Meetings

We meet every Monday (except for Holidays and Vacation days) in the gym of Toney United Methodist Church, which is just off Hwy 53 at 5465 Old Railroad Bed Rd. Our meetings run from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.

From Labor Day to Memorial Day, Scouts and leaders are expected to wear their Field Uniform (Class A), which consists of the uniform shirt (with all appropriate patches and pins) and hat. Scouts should also wear their merit badge sash, scarf, and slide when they request a Scoutmaster Conference and/or Board of Review. During the summer months, Scouts and leaders may wear their Activity Uniform (Class B), which is the official Troop t-shirt. Order for hats and troop t-shirts are typically placed once a year in the spring.

Court of Honor

A Court of Honor is held once a quarter to recognize achievements and advancements earned in the previous months. Scouts are encouraged to invite their entire family to join in the celebration. Scouts and Leaders are expected to wear their full Field Uniform (including scarf, slide, and merit badge sash, if applicable).
